Understanding accessibility requirements in Riverside County can be incredibly difficult, but we’re here to help you breeze through it. Hiring a competent Certified Access Specialist (CASp) is key to understanding and meeting the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the California Building Code (CBC), and to achieving compliance. A CASp inspection and CASp report helps protect your business from costly ADA lawsuits and can even lead to the dismissal or settlement of such cases.
By scheduling a CASp inspection with us, you gain assurance that you’re moving towards compliance with the ADA and CBC. Our comprehensive CASp report will outline the necessary changes needed to improve accessibility. Our team of Certified Access Specialists will conduct a thorough inspections of your property and provide a detailed report that identifies any barriers and will offer practical solutions to ensure your business meets applicable ADA and CBC standards.
If you're seeking "qualified defendant" status, we can also provide you with a Disability Access Inspected Certificate (DAIC) which will deter future litigants from going after your business.

With the completion of a CASp Inspection, you are considered a “qualified defendant.” As such, statutory damages may be reduced to a minimum of $1,000 for each occasion by the plaintiff if you can demonstrate that all construction-related violations that were the basis of the claim were corrected within 60 days of being served with the complaint. Additionally, qualifying small businesses that hire our CASp inspectors may opt for a 120-day grace period during which they are free from liability from statutory damages of those violations identified in the CASp report if they were corrected within this 120-day period. Only a certified access specialist can offer services that offer "qualified defendant" status.
Without a CASp Inspection, statutory damages of $4,000 may be assessed per occasion under Civil Code section 55.56. If you are found liable, you may be responsible for paying the plaintiff's attorney fees in addition to statutory damages.
